I was raised in Western New York (state) in a non-religious home. As a teenager I searched for spiritual truth and found it in Jesus Christ. Today I'm an ordained Evangelical minister and missionary to elected and appointed officials on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. I invite you to join me in reminding our top government leaders that we are all equally dependent on and accountable to an Almighty God!

COUNTDOWN TO ELECTION DAY

Your missionary to Capitol Hill, Washington, DC, Rob Schenck, reporting:

As we count the days to Election Day, November 4, the atmosphere here in Washington fluctuates between passion and resignation. Some consider the outcome of the presidential race as a fete-accompli.  The mass media and historically liberal institutions already have Barack Obama as a the winner, while many conservatives are vexed by what they see as John McCain's lack-luster campaign and seeming lack of enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Christian organizations are frustrated because the paramount moral issues are taking second and third position to the economy. Most believe if we got those matters solved, we'd solve the economic crisis, too. Which comes first, obedience or blessing?

I'd like to know what you think. Is Barack Obama the inevitable winner? Does John McCain have what it takes? What is the real problem with America?

P.S. Watch for my upcoming article and blog posts on "How To Pick A President." After you read it, pass it along to as many others as you can!

Later . . .
