Faith and Action

A behind-the-scenes commentary on the work of Faith and Action--America's only Christian mission to elected and appointed officials located across the street from the U.S. Supreme Court and in the heart of Capitol Hill!

I was raised in Western New York (state) in a non-religious home. As a teenager I searched for spiritual truth and found it in Jesus Christ. Today I'm an ordained Evangelical minister and missionary to elected and appointed officials on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. I invite you to join me in reminding our top government leaders that we are all equally dependent on and accountable to an Almighty God!

PRAYERS ANSWERED IN GERMANY!

The scene from my bedroom in the home where I stayed for one night in Hassfurt, Germany.

Your (roaming) missionary to Capitol Hill, Washington, DC, Rob Schenck, reporting:

This will be a quick one, since I have Internet connectivity for just a couple of minutes.

Your prayers for me and for this special mission have been answered with great favor from the Lord! I'm in the tiny hamlet of Hassfurt, 200 kilometers from Frankfurt. It's a beautiful area with lush pastoral landscape dotted here and there by villages, church steeples and, of course, a castle or two.

As you may know, our second ministry facility back home on Capitol Hill is owned by a family here in the Franconia region. They are beautiful Spirit-filled Christians who, as I've only discovered on this visit, are people of extraordinary prayer. They lead a regular prayer group in their home and periodic prayer retreats in the region.

My hosts and I have indeed prayed together often while I've been here, and talked at great length about the unfolding vision God has given to us for the work on Capitol Hill, throughout the U.S. and around the world. They are in complete harmony with us and have even pointed out how the Lord laid the foundation stones for our cooperation with them in His work almost 40 years ago. It's been exhilarating!

As a result of my visit, we have solidified the first step in the Master's Plan for the future of Faith and Action. This is not the time or place to detail it, but what I can tell you is the Lord has united our hearts and minds with these good people for a common purpose. Hallelujah!

I'll be back in Frankfurt tonight and head home tomorrow. I'll post more when I'm back on US soil. For now, thanks again and again for your prayers!
